JETHRO TULL RECORD "THICK AS A BRICK" SEQUEL

NEW YORK (AP) - According to the legend of Jethro Tull, the lyrics on the "Thick as a Brick" album were written by a boy named Gerald Bostock whose parents lied about his age. Singer Ian Anderson thinks it's time to see what Gerald is up to these days. Jethro Tull has recorded "Thick as a Brick 2," for release April 3. Anderson says the sequel will be about the different paths Gerald may have taken in the past 40 years. He's using Gerald as a metaphor for how chance encounters can change our own lives. NEIL YOUNG GETS INSIDE HIS GUITAR ON "JOURNEYS"

PARK CITY, Utah (AP) - If Neil Young's 2006 concert film "Heart of Gold" was showing off the grandness of his music, his new one, "Journeys," is about zooming in on the music. Young plays his songs on an electric guitar with no accompaniment. He calls it "a fantastic voyage into your guitar." He says "Journeys" takes viewers into the distortion of his guitar with nothing in the way. "Journeys" has been playing at film festivals and will come out on DVD in April.     click for more

STEVEN TYLER NEEDS TO WRITE AEROSMITH LYRICS

PASADENA, Calif. (AP) - The new Aerosmith record is still a work in progress, and it looks like Steven Tyler is holding things up. Tyler says they've written about half the album -- but not his half. He says he's got to write lyrics and he hasn't had a lot of time. He says he's not pretentious enough to say the songs are hits, but he thinks they've got something. He says it will sound like the Aerosmith everyone knows with some new sounds, because as he puts it, "How do you hide from my big mouth?" click for more

STEVEN TYLER TO SUPREME COURT: LESS NUDITY!

LOS ANGELES (AP) - Steven Tyler has some choice words for the U.S. Supreme Court about nudity and profanity, and surprise -- he's against it. Tyler says, "There's a certain charm and passion and magic in not showing full-frontal nudity." He says it's "really hot when you only show a little." The Supreme Court heard arguments yesterday whether policing profanities and nudity on broadcast TV makes sense in the cable era. Opponents say with nine out of ten households subscribing to cable or satellite TV, viewers lose track of which stations are broadcast stations. Tyler has let profanity slip on "American Idol" but he opposes a whole stream of profanities on TV. He says it's more creative to go with innuendo than to be crass. click for more

Roth says he used to wander through the club as a kid and dreamed of playing on that stage.
